Agreement with Lincoln Bishop University (UK)

Students of the Department of Languages have the opportunity to make an important international mobility experience in the United Kingdom thanks to the university’s agreement with Bishop Lincoln University (Lincoln, UK), aimed at promoting the mobility of both students and faculty members. The agreement (Student Exchange Agreement) was signed in 2022, replacing a previous Erasmus agreement.

Bishop Lincoln University is located in the urban area of the city of Lincoln and enjoys an excellent strategic position, as it is about two hours by train from London. The city boasts a rich medieval heritage, including a magnificent Gothic cathedral, and is known for its well-preserved historical atmosphere. Situated in the county of Lincolnshire, Lincoln offers numerous cultural and architectural attractions, as well as picturesque landscapes.

The campus, medium-sized and very well organized, is welcoming and open to an international dimension. The university offers high-quality teaching and various educational activities for students who, during their stay, can establish valuable contacts with the academic community, attend stimulating courses, and improve their language skills.

Students on mobility programs are welcomed and supported by the International Office, which takes care of reception, orientation, and assistance throughout the stay. Bishop Lincoln University offers a wide variety of courses belonging to different disciplinary areas, both within the Department of English and in other departments across the campus.

The selection process, organization of the study and/or internship period, and recognition of completed activities are carried out in accordance with the procedures established by the University agreement (https://www.unich.it/international) and in coordination with the Department.

G. d’Annunzio University also has a second agreement in place with Lincoln Bishop University, aimed at carrying out teaching and research activities (“Bilateral Agreement of teaching activity, education, research, and training programs at Universities, Institutions and foreign public and private”). Within this second agreement, signed in 2018 and renewed in 2023, the activities of the L&GEND International Research Group (https://www.unich.it/progetti-ricerca/lgend) take place. The coordinators of the two agreements are the same.
